Hmm.... I'm tempted to ask for SPN right now, just because I finished S8 yesterday, but I'm gonna go with Angel.

my favourite female character Fred. I love Amy Acker, and Fred's nervous sweet bookish secretly-quite-bad-ass character was awesome.
my favourite male character Angel. He really took the mick out of himself at times, which was the perfect counter to all the dark brooding.
my favourite book/season/etc I don't think they really topped the first season. The whole Doyle storyline, the grittiness, argh, why is there nothing like this on my TV anymore? D:
my favourite episode/issue/chapter, etc Hero.
my favourite cast member Julie Benz, she's hilarious, friendly and defends fantasy and sci-fi fans.
my favourite relationship Wesley/Fred was heartbreaking. And Doyle's pining for Cordelia was perfection. Angel made me love all the tragic angsty ships.
a character I'd die defending I've gotten into some fairly pyrotechnical fights defending Cordelia, so I guess that has to be my answer.
a character I just can't sympathize with Harmony.
a character I grew to love Illyria. Totally ready to hate her for taking Fred away but, man, I love Amy Acker.

Pyrotechnical?

I pretty much agree with all that except Harmony and Fred/Gunn. Mostly because I'm the type of person who can see a 'ship in just about any light, and there were a few cutesy moments I liked about them, and fic fleshed Harmony out to a lovable character for me.

So, how long do I need to wait to ask for more?

I OTP'd Fred/Wesley pretty hard, so it was like NOPE GUNN NOPE STEP AWAY THAT LADY GOT A BRITISH WATCHER DUDE YO. (I can see where it would have worked, though, so it's not a I HATE THIS OTP as a "the only Angel ship I could think of that I didn't love all the way")

Harmony got fleshed out but not in a total character arc, which would have redeemed her for me.

We so agree on stuff where Angel is concerned!! Illyria, Fred/Wes vs Fred/Gunn, Hero, Doyle, Cordy, Fred... like everything you said except fave male character (Spike, Lindsey, Doyle, Wes...) and I probably wouldn't've picked Julie Benz, but not 'cause I don't like her, just because, y'know, Christian Kane :P But yeah, lots and lots in common... again!

my favourite book/season/etc There's only been 2 seasons. And season 3's going to be as long as them both. SO SEASON 3 BECAUSE THERE IS MORE OF EVERYONE IN IT.

Because it's the episode I sat and watched and my heart thumped all the way through, because here was this brilliant show doing precisely what I would have written. Considering I write fanfic mostly because I don't get from canon what I want, this was AMAZING.
my favourite cast member Dylan O'Brien. Total dork. I may or may not have watched his YouTube videos in paroxysms of inappropriate glee.
my favourite relationship Stiles and his father. It makes me laugh and breaks my heart, because Stiles can't keep lying to his father. (Shipwise STEREK ALL THE WAY.)

Oh, I love Donna. She was so, so brilliant. Even though she didn't know it. And I also grew to love Martha - at first she was nothing special to me but then I found out how many people hated her (...because she dared to fall in love with Doctor after Rose did so, whoa, such a logical argument) and I started feeling really protective about her. And yes, Jack's great. I miss him.
Last year when I was on holidays with my parents I saw a sign saying "stop for blink". It was so amazing (and scary) that I even took a photo with my mobile. Wanna see it?

Donna was amazing. Her end = so heartbreaking. D: I can't wait to see Rose again in the 50th anniversary special, I miss all the old companions. Martha took a little while to get used to - probably from lingering-Rose-heartbreak - but then she was amazing. I loved the Shakespeare episode with her.

Yeah, the way Donna ended was absolutely heartbreaking. The same with Rose. But I admire Martha for the fact that she was able to say "good bye" when she thought it was time to do so. She had a life she wanted to come back to after travelling with the Doctor and that's the thing I like about her most. Shakespeare episode was great! ("I say to thee... Expelliarmus!")
