I used to be so very religious when it came to OTPs. I had one OTP and one alone. And then I got so very greedy. :D
I guess my main OTP right now is Steve/Tony. Even though my Avengers feels are SO VERY FLEXIBLE. I have one of those big plot bunnies that occupies your head every moment, and it's a Steve/Tony bunny, and I also wrote a 31k fic in 6 days which was Steve/Tony, not to mention my Big Bang was Steve/Tony, so there MAY BE A LITTLE CLUE IN THERE SOMEWHERE THAT THE MAIN SHIP I'M SAILING IS STEVE/TONY.
My Leverage OTP is Sophie/Nate. Which sort of broke my mind a little, because I've been slashing pretty hard for the longest time.

While I ship almost everybody/everybody in the Avengers, Steve/Tony is totally my main OTP, too. There's just something so ... wonderfully dramatic and intense about them.

So... I already covered Nate's oral fixation with you, didn't I? I think Nate was a smoker, way back when, so he's best when he's got something occupy his mouth and fingers. Sometimes that's his pen while he's doing the crossword, other times... well. ;) He's got an addictive personality, hence the alcohol, but that's because he can't fight two monsters at once - his brain's already occupied fighting the part of him that wants to make him just like the worst parts of his father, so fighting the alcoholism on top? Yeah, not so easy.

SO. Um. HIGH SCHOOL AU. Only, the Avengers are the teachers, (and the New Avengers/Runaways/X:Men Evolution kids are the students) and Steve teaches art and history and Tony teaches Tech and Physics and Bruce teaches Chemistry and Biology and Natasha and Clint are the gym teachers. Pepper teaches Maths and Fury is the headmaster and Coulson is the technology teacher.
AND. THE STUDENTS SHIP THEIR TEACHERS A LOT.

I would. no, I've been sort of in this situation. and. I flailed. and went, "UM WHATEVER" and then the most popular digimon artist ever made me a beautiful cover for my fic and then my mum saw it, ahaha, and said, "That's lovely! BUT SHE MADE MATT AND TAI LOOK A LITTLE GAY, HONEY."
I choked back my laughter til she left the room.
So, in reality, I would fangirlishly squeal "WHATEVER, OH MY GOSH".
But if I was a bit more sensible...
An artist I would like an illustration, probably of a shared OTP that got me into them in the first place. And an author, I would probably ask for an offshoot of their fic I like the most, maybe my favourite scene from an outside character's POV.
